Taylor D. Buntin, III

  • Taylor Buntin has been practicing law since 1977 and was a founding member of Bridgforth, Buntin & Emerson, PLLC. While in law school at the University of Mississippi, he was a member of Phi Delta Phi. He was a member of the DeSoto County Board of Education from 1985-1987. Taylor served as the Assistant District Attorney in the 17th Judicial District from 1984-1987, the DeSoto County Prosecuting Attorney from 1989-1991, and also served on the Board of Bar Commissioners from 1999 until 2001. Taylor has been recognized as a top attorney in our community in the area of Personal Injury Litigation by Super Lawyers magazine every year since 2007.

Barry W. Bridgforth, Jr.

  • Barry joined Bridgforth, Buntin & Emerson, PLLC, in 1995 after working with a large firm in Jackson, MS for a year. While attending the University of Mississippi School of Law, he was a member of the Moot Court Board and the Mississippi Law Journal from 1993-1994. He served as the secretary of the DeSoto County Bar Association and on the Mississippi Board of Bar Commissioners.

    Barry now handles a wide range of cases in DeSoto and Shelby County.

Adam B.
Emerson

  • Adam joined Bridgforth, Buntin & Emerson, PLLC, in November 2008. He is a native of Hernando, Mississippi and attended Hernando High School and the University of Mississippi. While in law school at Ole Miss, he served on the Moot Court Board. After practicing in a large firm in Jackson, MS for two years, he moved back home to DeSoto County. Adam has served as the Youth Court Prosecutor, Youth Court Public Defender, Circuit Court Public Defender, and prosecuting attorney for the City of Horn Lake. Adam now serves as Municipal Judge for the City of Hernando and Special Master in Chancery Court. While Adam has a general practice that includes most aspects of legal representation, his main focus areas are business formation, commercial litigation, Wills, estate planning and probate, land disputes, annexation, eminent domain, and representation of clients charged with misdemeanor and felony crimes.

Robert R.
Morris, II

  • Robert R. “Bob” Morris has been practicing law since 1997. He grew up in Tate County, Mississippi, attending High School at Magnolia Heights in Senatobia, Mississippi. Bob was in private practice from 1997 until November of 2014, when he began prosecuting felony cases in DeSoto County, Mississippi. Bob served as an Assistant District Attorney from 2014 until September of 2022. On September 23, 2022, Bob was appointed to act as interim District Attorney for DeSoto County by Governor Tate Reeves, filling a vacancy left by the passing of then District Attorney John Champion, where he served as District Attorney until the end of his term in December of 2023. Bob has experience in a wide range of practice fields with litigation experience in personal injury, products liability, worker’s compensation, insurance, criminal cases, premises liability and commercial/business litigation. In 2009, Bob had one of the National Law Journal’s top 100 verdicts in the nation on behalf of a DeSoto County family. He was awarded the “Rising Star” for excellence in the legal community in 2011 by Super Lawyer’s Magazine. In 2012, Bob was named to the National Trial Lawyers top 40 under 40 for the State of Mississippi. He is a lifetime member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum since 2012 and is rated “AV Preeminent” by Martindale Hubble; the highest rating a lawyer may obtain in the United States.
